snow in Montreal

Mid-afternoon, lots of snow started coming down. These are views of Cote des Neiges, taken from inside a building around 4 PM.

plastic huts Montreal

Plastic huts are quite popular in Cote des Neiges. One can see the white plastic structures along the length of many streets. They keep snow off the drive way. The house in the last photo is having the facade redone.

street ads

Perfume, weekender, apartment for rent, I enjoy looking at advertisements, or posters put up in various places along the street. After a while, the weather plus wear and tear provide a natural retro grunge filter look, so popular these days among cell phone camera users. And it's free, no app necessary. I took these with a Canon powershot in Cote des Neiges.

Oh OOO Zero

Lohbado spends a lot of time studying the Nomrohic alphabet according to Club Morono principles. The word morono, in particular, contains three zeroes, ohs or circles, occurring within a vast sphere of possibility. The last two letters, no, suggest negativity. However, No can only occur in connection with Yes.

baking soda

Lohbado used baking soda to clean the kitchen counter. It didn't give off noxious fumes or dry out his skin.

mama's mansion

Early February, drowsiness sets in, the mind becomes transparent, Lohbado thought about his dear old mother who died in 1981. She used to say, in her mother's mansion there are many rooms. While having coffee, Lohbado gazed out the window at the old textile factory and its many windows.

groundhog day

Lohbado ventured out of his basement apartment on February 2. First, he took a picture of himself in the bathroom mirror, thus creating a separation between the immediate determination of Lohbado and Lohbado as reflected for himself. He saw and photographed his reflection in a neighbor's door, a reflection of Lohbado for others. That means Lohbado will go back to his apartment and mediate another six weeks of winter into a negation of winter as the affirmative presence of spring.

More important, February 2 was the birthday of James Joyce.
